Welcome to the Curragh Military Swim Team

Four swimmers took home 6 medals from Irish Age Group National Division 2 Championships in Limerick 2017 with a further two swimmers (Kallie Walsh & Julia Moore) representing the club and new PB’s for all in the Irish Age Group National Division 1 Championships.

We are so proud of our swimmers who brought a fantastic season to a close and made their own goals a reality.  Congratulations to Filip Halaczkiewicz (12) who took home two medals Silver in 100m Butterfly and first ever National title for the club in the 200m Butterfly, winning a gold.  Michael Keogh (13) took home two bronze medals in 100m Freestyle and 100m Backcrawl. Ethan Comerford (15) bronze in 200m Back Crawl and finally Niall Burke  (13) bronze in 100m Butterfly.

15 Individual swimmers took part in the competition over four days and PBs were achieved by all.  The team also had the youngest competitor in the entire competition Ava Rock (8).  The support was amazing over the four days in both competitions by all parents and swimmers.  Swimmers who were not even competing came to support their fellow team mates.

Also for anyone who didn’t meet our team mascot “Bob” at the Nationals here he is.
